Welcome to the Kollegiet on Amager

The Kollegiet in the northern part of Amager, also known as Sundbyvester, offers a unique housing experience with 192 rooms spread over eight floors. Each room is equipped with its own bathroom, toilet, and a balcony with a glass facade, creating a bright and modern atmosphere. Although the rooms are compact at approximately 13 square meters, you will enjoy spacious shared kitchens, which are shared with 23 other residents on your floor. These kitchens form the framework for a strong social community.

The Kollegiet is particularly suitable for students, as it is located within a short distance from the University of Copenhagen Amager and the IT University, both of which can be reached in under five minutes by bike. For students at other educational institutions, the metro is an obvious choice, with the stations DR Byen/Universitetet and Amagerbro within reach. This provides quick access to the entire city, including the Inner City, which is only five minutes away by metro.

The area around the Kollegiet offers fantastic shopping opportunities with Amagerbrogade and Amager Centret just a few hundred meters away. Additionally, there is a grocery store and a cozy pizzeria right across from the Kollegiet. Common to the Kollegiet and neighboring buildings is a garden with soccer and tennis courts, inviting outdoor activities.

The Kollegiet's many shared facilities include a gym, music room, sauna, bike workshop, and a party room. In the basement, you will find Café Coma, which hosts monthly bar events. Furthermore, the Kollegiet's party committee organizes four major parties a year, such as Tour des Cuisine. There is also the opportunity to engage in various committees, such as the garden or games and fun committee, which further strengthens the community.

When you move in, please be aware that the Kollegiet is smoke-free, and pets or children are not allowed. Unfortunately, the accommodations are not suitable for individuals with mobility disabilities, and housing benefits cannot be applied for. Water, heating, and electricity are included in the rent, while the antenna is paid separately. Internet connection is included, and there is access to a laundry room with six washes per month.

Upon moving in, a deposit equivalent to three months' net rent must be paid. Contracts are sent electronically, and it is worth keeping an eye on your spam folder, as some emails may be caught there.
